Categories
Websites > Your Site > Edit Page > Mode > Categories
Assign categories to the current page to manage information architecture, navigation and search results.
Overview
The category mode allows categories to be applied to the current webpage, from a global category / taxonomy structure which can be created and managed in the category manager
Categories can be applied to content pages, article pages, product pages, assets and offices. Where categories are applied to any type of content, that content's appearance in navigation menus, related content and search results becomes dynamic and can benefit from dynamic filtering and sorting.
A default category can be assigned. Usually, this would be the lowest level in its hierarchy, allowing opportunity for all higher levels to be manipulated, where default categories are used to retrieve results.
