Page global options

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

Global options available for the current page.

At the head of each page version table, there are six link options;

  1. Compare - Enables side by side comparison of any two page versions.
  2. Template - Change the template of the current page.
  3. Live Page - Open the published version of the current page in a new tab
  4. Page area - Enables moving of web page to another website, directory or article library.
  5. Permissions - Set permissions to control access to page.
  6. Delete - Delete the current page (only available if all cultured versions of page are disabled)

Compare

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

Within the page compare feature, select the two versions that you wish to compare using the drop down selectors and click compare.

In comparison view, each content type or editable area is listed in the left column for the oldest version and the right column for the newest version. Any additions are highlighted in green, while deletions are struck through and highlighted in red.

In HTML view, each content type is only displayed once, with additions and deletions shown in the same way.

File changes show files that have been added or removed from a page.

Template

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

Select a template for the page from any of the template folders. the currently selected template is shown in preview mode.

Live page

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

Opens the published version of the current page in live view, in a new tab.

Page area

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

The drop down selector shows the current website or directory that the page resides in. Use the selector to move the page to another site, directory or into the articles library.

Permissions

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

The permissions page lists as row headings, all of the current user roles, plus 'everyone', which is the name given to users that are not logged in.

Against all of these roles are the six available permission types listed as column headings;

  1. View
  2. Edit
  3. Publish
  4. Restore
  5. Preview
  6. Disable

A check box is displayed against each intersecting row and column. If the box is checked, the role has the corresponding permission. Check or uncheck permissions for each role, as required. NB, if the View permission for Everyone is unchecked, the page is effectively private and cannot be viewed by the public unless they log in and will not be indexed by search engines.

Delete

Websites > Your Site > Your Page

This option is only displayed where a page and any cultured versions are disabled (unpublished). On confirming the deletion of a page, the page and all of its versions are removed from the directory.

The page is listed in Utilities > System Settings >Deleted pages and can be restored to its last location
