Product Attributes

Overview

Products can have a combination of fixed and custom attributes.

Fixed attributes include an SKU number, Name, price, tax rate, stock level, low stock notification level, shipping band, warehouse assignment, IsDigital (where a product is a downloadable item).

In addition to the fixed attributes, custom attributes can be defined, for example where a product is available in different sizes, colours or specifications.

For easy management, custom attributes can be grouped and then applied to a product with a single click

Creating Attributes

eCommerce > Products > Attributes > Add New Attribute

1. Add a name for the attribute i.e. Waist size

2. Add a name to be displayed if different

3. Set Customer Choice to ON if the choices will be available.

4. Set Viewable to customer to ON if the choices will be selectable the visitor

5. Set Fixed options to on to add the values; For the example Waist size, values such as 28, 30, 32, 34 etc

Creating Attribute Groups

eCommerce > Products > Attributes Groups

1. Add a new name for a group and save - The group will then be in the left column below.

2. Select the new group and then select appropriate attributes from the center column list. These will then populate to the right hand column.

3. Set the order of the attributes in the right hand column by dragging and dropping into position

4. The attribute group and its contents and order are saved automatically
