System Messages

Utilities > System Settings > Messages

Manages short text strings on non editable pages and areas.

The system messages are short pieces of text that appear as part of a template e.g. a company number in the footer, or perhaps a telephone number present in the header within all page templates.

By placing the text for these within system messages, they are very easily updated in one place while maintaining styling consistency.

Edit a System Message

Utilities > System Settings > System Messages

Search for a system message using the search field. The results in the table below will be filtered as you type. Search either the text seen on the front end of the website, or by name of the system message.

To edit a message click the edit icon on the end of the row.

Code - not editable, set by the developers
Culture - if your project is multilingual, this is the language the system message is in
Sites - one or more sites selected for this message to be applied to
Text - the message
Enabled - whether the system message is in use

Edit Culture, Sites, Text, Enabled as you require and click Confirm to save.

Add a System Message

iCentric will be prepopulated with system messages as your project is developed. Should you find a piece of text on the site that you cannot edit within system messages or the page editor, contact us.
