Tag other webpages to the current page
Overview
Tagging is a process which allows a web page to display links to or container boxes of other web pages. In conjunction with the related content feature, tagging can be used to manually selected pages ahead of the automated selection of relevant related pages.
Tagging can be used in this example: www.example.com/news displays a list of all news pages in descending date order, as populated by automated related content. There is a requirement to promote an offer page, ahead of the first automated selection. This can be facilitated by tagging the offer page to the news page. Where more than one page is tagged, the order can be set. There is no limit to how many pages can be tagged to another.
Where the current page is tagged to other pages, removal of the tag or un-tagging, can be scheduled, using the page's Advanced Settings.
Adding tagged pages
Websites > Your Site > Edit Page > Mode > Tagging
All published web pages, articles and product pages will be displayed in that table on the left hand side of the tag editor. Pages in the table can be searched, filtered and ordered as required. By default, pages are ordered according to how many meta keywords match the 'current' page being edited. The current page's meta keywords are displayed to the right of the page table.
Selecting the '+' icon in any row of the page table, will tag the selected page to the current page. Tagged pages are shown below the meta-keywords.
The list of tagged pages can be reordered by dragging and dropping each tagged page into the required position.
Removing tagged pages
Websites > Your Site > Edit Page > Mode > Tagging
Tagged pages are shown below the list of meta-keywords. Each tagged page can be removed individually. Pages can be set to automatically un-tag from other pages, using it's Advanced Settings.
